No injuries were reported when an SUV plowed through the glass front of a furniture store in Bergen County over the weekend, authorities said on Monday.
The vehicle crashed about 8:30 p.m. Saturday into the front of the Prestige Furniture store in the Elmwood Park Shopping Center off Route 4, according to police Chief Michael Foligno.
Police at the scene said an Infiniti SUV crashed through the storefront and came to a stop inside the showroom. A woman driving the SUV was not hurt and several store employees and customers inside the business were also not injured, police and firefighters said.
A tow truck backed the SUV out of the store and the vehicle was taken away on a flatbed truck.
Foligno said Monday that no charges had been filed. The owners of the furniture store did not respond to requests for comment on Monday.
